Can anyone tell me if my 2007 Sirion need a code for a stereo.Disconnecting the battery doesn't make the cd ask for a code on reconnection, but the perceived wisdom is the if I buy a second hand cd it will need to have a code with it. I need another one as mine will not eject. Thanks.
My cambelt snapped on the M6 last night, and I am struggling to find information on how to set the timing marks when putting the new belt on...

Hi all - just got my Charade and really enjoying it - love the throbby engine sound - quite addictive! It's a cracking little car.
Anyway - couple of things with it - the clutch bite point is really high - no slipping so I think it's OK for a while - but can I adjust it so my knee isn't in the back seat when drive is taken up?
Also got wheel bearing (I think) noise on front nearside. If I change it myself, are there any special things to know - (seeing as there doesn't seem to be a manual) - or is it just a generic wheel bearing change approach?
Does anyone know where we can get ahold of a replacement?
Gfs car has been running very rough at idle with the revs dropping and then rising to 1200 before dropping back to 600ish and either recovering or stalling
Didn't notice it doesn't have a eml light so replaced spark plugs as they were very crusty. Then noticed mo light on dash so plugged in obd and got the cam position sensor fault. Guessing it's been igniting all wrong hence the messed plugs
My 2007 Charade 1.0 has a couple of unrelated? faults which i would like some advice on. At idle speed when warm the engine shakes quite noticeably. There is no hesitation at pickup and the engine runs smoothly through the gears and does not missfire. Also, the cooling fan cuts in even after a short run. The over temp light does not come on. Looking back through some old receipts that came with the car it has had a temp sensor,thermostat and coolant change in the recent past so someone has been throwing parts at it and maybe missing the problem-if it is a problem.
I have just bought a 2008 Sirion for my son as a first car. Had a new clutch fitted and a service but the car has a worrying engine noise that sounds like a "whirr" Seems to tail off with more revs. I am assuming it is something to do with the ancilliary drive belt but is this a know issue in any way to help me out? Any bearings on the belt end known to be problematic?
I'm really struggling to find a top strut mount for my 2004 charade l251. Does anyone have a oem parts list for my car or know if any other models are compatible? Getting quotes that only include the whole strut, used with 1 month Warrenty for £100!!!
Hi everyone, I'm a newbe on here and already have a problem. My speedo display is starting to 'hunt' and displays two to three times the actual speed, then when I continue my journey it goes back to normal and has no effect on the rev counter. so my question is: Is it a sensor problem or is it a direct drive cable and how do I repair it. the vehicle is a '96 plate sportrak efi .

i have a little runner sirion x reg on auto.
when its on the road and stops to wait for traffic the engines cuts out if gearbox is on N.
I kow keep the gearbox on D while stood on traffic but still the engines seems to cut out then comes to life.
If i park the vehicle and change gear to P the engine cuts out soon after.
When i purchased the car it did not have this but not it has.
please advice.
