Daihatsui Terios 1.3 using a lot of oil

Forum:

daihatsui terios
the car has always used a lot of oil. so Back in January had a oil change, when i had it back there was a slight change in the noise of the car, only slight, but i could tell there was something, but nobody else could feel the change.so didn't think any more of it.

Lead up to the breakdown in april , the car was rumbling/ shaking a bit, It then lost power on the way home and stalling when slowing down in speed, causing a misfiring,

2006 Sirion 1.0 manual - knocking/rattling steering

Forum:

New to the forum, so please be gentle.

I've recently purchased the above car which I'm finding quite fun to drive except for an annoying knocking coming from just below the steering wheel when going over poor road surfaces (i.e. most of the time!). I've had the lower plastic shroud off below the steering wheel, and by groping around (ooh-er, missus) in the nether regions of the steering column, I can feel a very small amount of play in a joint towards the top of the column. Not investigated this thoroughly yet, but it's presumably either a universal or a splined joint.

1994 Daihatsu Mira Electrical problem

Forum:

Hey guys,

I just bought a 1994 Mira LS (L200s chassis) and suddenly encountered a problem with my park and dash lights. none of them seem to be working(happened while i was driving). I have tried to look every where and the only reasonable explanation i can think of is the fuse might be blown. Does anyone of u know where the fuse box might be. I have found one near the foot well under the steering rack but it doesnt seem to have a 'Park Light/lamp fuse'. Am i looking for the right fuse or should i be looking for some other one.

ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Daihatsu sirion 2002 EJ-ED, engine oil into ignition coil tube

Forum:

Hi everyone, Can you help me how to fix it, I have no clue and how the engine inside looks like because I am scared I don't want to make any further trouble to my car. I am grateful if you can share your workshop manual with me.
My Daihatsu sirion 2002 is old with nearly 200k and has a few problems
1) a problem with oil running into ignition coi tube . I tried to replace a new ignition coil but the oil is still running into the hole . Is there any gasket or O ring around the spark plug tube under the top engine cover?

2008 Sirion 1.5 revs problem

Forum:

Good day all.

This is my first post as this is the first time I got a mechanical problem on my Sirion 1.5.

While driving if you accelerate to fast or trying to overtake another car the revs just jump to about 5000 rpm and then drops down no increase in speed actually feels as if it loosing power.

This only happens when you are driving and not when the car is at standstill in neutral.

Had the car on a diagnostic machine and gives me no fault code.

Maybe the air flow meter or what do you guys think?
