Changing stereo, new one won't fit- Daihatsu Sirion M301

Hi.
First time posting on this forum, first time changing a car's radio and it's given me quite a headache recently.
I figured it'd just be a case of unplugging the old one (which I managed to do), connect everything, and that'd be the end of it... But I've had to buy new wire adapters (it plugs in, turns on and plays at least) also had to get a fascia plate that supports standard DIN stereos and a single DIN pocket to fill the space the new stereo unit leaves, the stereo I've got is a Maxtek vision with bluetooth display from ALDI.

After searching various places for how to change my 2008 Sirion headlamp bulb (H4 dual filament) I couldn't find any help.

Plenty of other 'hatsu tutorials showing removing arch liner and bumpers, similar for yaris etc. requiring to release the whole lamp unit to swap.

No need for the Sirion.

Air conditioning problem on Daihatsu Sirion S

The air con on my 2008 Sirion has stopped working. The garage refreshed the gas which didn't resolve it.

They think the compressor needs replacing but said a new one is hideously expensive. They can't find a second hand one through their supplies.

Does anyone know where I could source one from please?

Sirion Rally IV 4WD not working

Hello everyone, I am a very happy Sirion Rally IV owner and just joined the forum. My question is about the 4WD and transfer box? does anyone know how to prove its working, and if its not working, how to test or diagnose the fault.

I have tried the obvious, (raised car on 4 axle stands, and then run the engine, the rear wheels never move!!) tried holding one of the front wheel still to engage the Diff, no difference!

Hi - my daughter has a 2004 Chrade. I’ve just put two new driveshafts on and I can detect a small amount of play in front rhs lower track control arm to hub assembly ball joint. I’d rather sort this before a potential MOT fail. Are the suspension systems between Charade / Coure / Sirion all the same? I can find lots of lower TCA’s for the latter two for about £40,yet for a charade they’re about £120 quid plus! The only difference I can tell is that the cheaper ones have a bracket for an arb.

Can I use a Coure / Sirion n simply chop the bracket off???

Sirion green water temp light

Hi my friend bought a 2009 2nd hand sirion just last week and has noticed a green water temp light comes on when she starts the car, stays on about five minutes then goes off. Is This normal? I read the entry in the manual as it comes on when the water is cold and goes off when it’s hot? It just seems confusing

Sirion SE front wheel alignment (year 2009)

I would like to know what the correct "toe in" is for my Sirion SE.
The garage said they have done it. But I know this garage does not have the equipment.
( I asked where the equipment was in the garage and was told they have to take cars that need wheel alignment to another garage around the corner! )
But my in dash cam shows it never left the garage except for a few test drives. He left the keys in it when he was working on it, so the my dash cam also shows him walking to my car carrying only 2 spanners.
