I have a Sirion 1.0 2008 and it has been a great little car. I've noticed, that if I put the clutch down, there is quite a rattling noise from the region of the transmission tunnel. As soon as I release the clutch, the noise goes away. I've also noticed, that the clutch travel seems rather high and it can be a bit 'notchy' getting into first and second gear.
Hi folks.
I'm new to Daihatsu cars but know they are good little Japanese motors. I've bought a 2008 Sirion 1.0 but it needs lots of tlc. It's on 88k miles and the clutch biting point is very high up in the pedal travel. It's quite hard to drive but the clutch doesn't actually seem to slip when engine pushed. I believe the cable can be manually adjusted along with the pedal as shown here : https://www.daihatsu-drivers.uk/node/12288
Why are most Fourtrak spares advertised as for up to the 1998 model? Mine is a 1999 model, which seems to not be listed so much. I'm not really sure what changed because they look pretty similar. I wanted some wind deflectors from climair uk but they say they only fit up to 1998, but the doors look the same to me?
I'm a newby to the forum and would appreciate any thoughts/advice/suggestions regarding a drop in fuel economy in relation to my 2003 Charade 1.0 EL.
I don't really know where to start, tyre pressures all good, no binding brakes. New air filter and plugs plus I've had the ECU 'read' and there are no codes current or stored.
So, I don't know where to go next hence the question to those in the know.
Many thanks in advance, Denz1l
Hi, im a new member as i have recently purchased a Daihatsu YRV. I bought the car pretty cheap to use it to get me to work in bad conditions....mostly snow. Its got many problems that i am currently sorting out but one what keeps getting me confused is the 4WD system.

Hi,needing some help. I have a 2001 cuore. When the car warms up the idle sits about 800 rpm but the whole car is vibrating badly. I have cleaned all throttle body sensors etc, changed engine mounts and still no change. The vibrations are so bad the bolt exhaust bolts keeping coming loose. I unplugged sensors one at a time ,all showed an engine light except 02 sensor. O2 sensor didn't cause the engine light to come. Could this be the reason for vibrations. At my wits end and on a tight budget. Many thanks.
Hi all, I'm Ross and the owner of a 2009 Daihatsu Sirion S. Last night the Malfunction Indicator Light became illuminated and has remained on since. I called my breakdown cover and they said it was safe to drive home but to get it inspected ASAP. This morning I have purchased a fault code reader and the fault code reads PO335- Crankshaft position sensor A circuit malfunction. The light is constantly on but does not flash and the light is yellow coloured suggesting it's not dangerous but should be checked to prevent damage to the car.
