Hi Everyone,
My 2006 Sirion 1.3 dies immediately after it starts unless I keep my leg on the acceleration pedal.
I've already changed the air-filter, battery, spark plugs, coils and get out and cleaned the throttled body thoroughly (the last one fixed the problem for 1 week).
The issue is sporadic and doesn't always occurs sometimes the engine starts but it's getting down to 200-300 RPM and I need to drive the car for 5 min till it's going back to idle 500 RMP.
I really need your help guys, any assistant will be highly appreciated.
I have just bought a late Sirion 1.3SL (facelifted version). I want to remove the plastics to do a bit of rust proofing. Can someone tell me how the sill plastic covers are attached? If I remove the visible attachments does they just pull off?
Also - where can I get hold a a workshop manual for it?
This is my second Daihatsu - I also have a Copen 650T which doesn't go out in the winter to protect the bodywork from salt. Some people never learn...

Hi my Daihatsu yrv f speed had an issue where the glovebox jammed and due to my house keys and parking permit being inside I had to rip it open with great force. The door/front of the glovebox itself is fine except for the latch/handle but after much searching online I’ve not found any replacement ones.
Does anyone know if there is another car Male glovebox door or latch that would fit the yrv f speed? Any help would be appreciated
Hi - just got a 1999 Charade 1.3 16V (HCE engine) & need a little help. There is a grey cannister-type component low down on the right hand side at the back of the engine compartment. A thin pipe comes out of this, runs up the side of the air filter housing and just ends. Can anyone tell me what the component is and whether the pipe should be connected to anything? The tickover seems high - 1500-1700 RPM at first, reducing to 900-950 when warmed up (about 8-10 mins). Any connection to the unconnected pipe? Any help appreciated...
Left indicator out of the blue came on and stayed on - not flashing. Disconnected battery. When it was reconnected, battery was flat.
Roadside repair started the car and checked indicator, apparently the hazard may have jammed - he said it happens because they're not used much. The indicator works perfectly now, does not stay on when car off and key removed.
The fob now will not lock/unlock the car. Changed batteries in both fobs. Followed directions found in the forum to discharge fob and put batteries back in. Key in drivers door locks/unlocks the car.
Have got a 99 YRV 1.3 premium with no heat whatsoever from the heater. The garage had a look and ther eis virtually no water flow through the heater matrix. We've been told you can only get a new matrix from Japan (v costly), I thought this was odd so my question is is this true or does the YRV share the same heater matrix with other models? and thus be able to find a decent second hand one under another name!
Hallo new to club. Got a 2007 Sirion 1.3 sx in metallic black which is for sale. 64000 miles runs like a dream. Anyone interested message me thru club. Reason for sale , just bought 2009 1.0 Sirion to teach my son to drive.Cheaper insurance etc. Anyway, when we bought new 1.0 all c/l worked fine on the fob. We had to replace the rear tailgate lock & now we have done that , car will central lock on key, but will not c/l on fob. Done all things as per forum, disconnected battery & then hold both buttons for 20/30 seconds, but nothing happening.
