Only one of my speakers is working but as far as I can see to access the faulty one (driver side) it requires the entire piece of plastic, going accross the whole width of the car below the windscreen and down the other side to be removed. Even with the visible bots undone though, I cannont get the plastic infront of the speaker to budge more than about 4cm so can't access the speaker! Do I also need to remove the plastic dash surrouding the dials behind the steering wheel?
Just a quick question has anyone removed/replaced the headlight stalk on a 1998 Sirion 1.0 and if so how easy/difficult was it? I have looked at the cd that Bob sent me but it really doesn't tell me much and any info about how it should be done would be appreciated.
Hello, New here as I'm hoping to buy my first Diahatsu tomorrow. Its a used 2002 1.3 YRV. I've been reading up on various car guides and there's a couple of points which keep on coming up and worrying me. One is that the car isn't good at cornering and hence problems with wheelspin and the other that its uncomfortable to ride in. My kids really want this car, can anyone who owns a similar one tell me more?
I'm quite new to the Sirion but I do have one or two problems and the one that is annoying me at the moment is a creaking noise when I turn but I can only hear it at slow speed, I've looked to see if there are any points that need greasing but I can't see anything so anyone got any ideas what this could be? I am assuming its dry joints of some-sort.
A problem has arisen with the main beam on my F75.
Background - Spots fitted with relay by one of the previous owners. When using main beam spots came on but NOT the normal main beam on standard lights. Dipped headlights worked as normal.
Current scenario
With ignition OFF all the lights work normally as described above.

I started the car today and once started it ran for about 15/20 seconds with no smoke at all but then it started to smoke just a little nothing to shout about anyway I drove off and as I drove off I could then see plumes of white smoke behind me for about 100 yards and then it stopped I drove a further half mile and slowed down at a roundabout and then when I pulled off it felt as though it wasn't firing on all cylinders? but this only lasted about 5 seconds and then it was fine for the rest of the day.
I have been trying for some months to renew my offside headlamp at a lower cost than the car's value! I have now posted a request on BreakerLink - at a cost of £3.00 Does anyone have any ideas where a possible breakers yard in the south west Essex area or, Thurrock would have such a thing? HELP!
