hi just purchased a sirion 1.0 manual 2002 model
it doesnt start
first off before you even goto start the car the management light is on
i have tried plugging in an ocb ll reader and does not communicate with the car
any ideas what i can do been told its down to a wiring fault but where should i start as i have no clue

hi, i have a 1994 mira 849 cc manual petrol and have problems starting when its warm(the car not the weather!) its starts brilliantly when its cold, but as soon as i make a few stop and starts it gets harder to start and smells strongly of petrol! Any suggestions would be much appreciated, jo
Car is 02 reg, 1300cc, 60,000 miles. In a public car park, car was halted untidily relative to parking bay. Intended to move car forward 2 to 3 feet to line up with white line. Started engne, put lever in D, suddenly car accelerated forward at full revs. Panicked, had to turn steering anti-clockwise to avoid driving into wall to front. Trying to get foot on brake while continuing to turn in circle with full lock at full revs. Foot on brake and car skids to halt almost exactly in same place started from with tyres almost smoking.
Hi guys. Am new on here so please bare with me. I have a 1988 Charade TR turbo. My check light came on and so I replaced the o2 sensor. Performance has improved but the light is still on. I have disconnected the battery for hours hoping that this will reset it but to no avail. Can anyone tell me if this car has a computor and if so where? Geoff
Ive been trying to remove the wiper arms from my 1998 cuore to respray them. I have the service manual from here and it says just remove the one top bolt and the arm comes off. Ive removed the bolt, but even with using a screwdriver for leverage they wont budge. Do i just need to pull harder? Im concerned about damaging something using any more force so wanted to check that theres no sneaky circlips or anything in there holding it on.
Anyone ever experianced a small knock when braking on the YRV TURBO.Seems to be on the passenger side and only happens when cold and only a handfull of times.When warm and car been driven nothing,until the next morning when it happens again.Checked brakes and bushes etc etc but nothing jumps out at being an obvious problem,so its starting to p**s me off..Any ideas??
My '98 Sirion has been randomly losing power, making it drive like it's kangaroo hopping along. It might happen for a kilometre then drive ten kms without a problem. While it loses power the engine light comes on.
Have put it into mechanic today but I'd like a second opinion. They've told me it's probably the TPS (Transmission Positioning System) but they didn't sound too sure.
I was wondering if anyone can help?I have a Sirion rally 2 and after two blow ups I would like to get the crankshaft re ground and use the .25 undersize bearings.i have the con-rod bearings sorted,but am struggling to get the part number for the main bearings.I ordered both sets of bearings at the same time.the con-rod bearings were fine but the mains have no tangs and the upper bearings have two oil holes not one.the part # for the wrong bearings are 11704-B1021-.I am currently throwing emails back and forward to the distributors,just wondering if anyone else had these problems?I did howev
