My Diahatsu Charade developed a problem with the drive shaft very soon after I bought it. Unfortunately at my first service I was informed that my car was not registered on any UK computer as unbeknown to me it was imported from Ireland, I have therefore been unable to get the job done under warranty.
There is a weird sort of film peeling off of the headlights and indicators on my YRV. I thought there had been lamp protectors or something on them but I don't think this is the case. Anybody else come across this?
Hi from OZ Having issues with idle on car almost stalls then recovers, only at normal opperating temp, no trouble codes showing up. No Daihatsu dealers here any more, so help is hard to find. I am begining to suspect idle control unit is faulty, anybody out there had this issue?

the water in the tank leading from the radiator boils after a long ride on the highway, but when its a short run the water wont boil. what can be the problem?
yesterday on the highway the temp gauge was very close to hot indicator. i saw that the water in the tank did not boil but the boil came from below maybe from the radiator..

help i have a 97 sportrak that wont start i have read that if you use a short wire between 2 terminals you can self diagnose but i notice it is on a 6 pin diagnosis plug , i have a 12 pin plug can anyone help

New to this site and need a bit of help.
I have been given a w plate 850cc perodua nippa with a snapped camshaft. I have had the top off the engine and it is bone dry and all the rockers are worn out.
I have a 1986 Domino engine + gearbox unit in a special.I cannot get 5th gear to engage.
The problem is definately in the gearbox. Using the change mechanism directly on the box without linkages, the 5th gear selector seems to move correctly and it feels as though the detente ball has engaged the groove, however 5th is not engaged. The car drives perfectly in all other gears.
