Hi Guys...Having spoken to my local Daihatsu agent they tell me there are five different big end bearings available for the Grand Move 1.6MPI but cannot tell me which will be the right one for my vehicle. I do not need oversize shells. The crank journals are not worn but one of my shells picked up. So I thought it would be straightforward to order standard shells. On their system they have five different part numbers, each part number is a full set of shells. On the description there is no mention of dimensions etc so there is no way of finding out by measuring a good shell.
I have a 1997 Dyhatsu Pyzar ('Move'?). It starts every time after having being left garaged overnight. But, if I try to re-start after having driven it for a while, it won't start. It can take from 10 to 40 turns of the key before it does eventually start.
my problem is that my vacuum pressure is to low when idling(plus minus 30 atm)..when i turn on the air cond my vacuum become plus minus 20...is it normal?
why is this happening?
have a 1997 charade 1.3 ticks over ok but dies when throttle is aplied,loads of petrol from pump,filter ok,plugs,leadsok computer shows no fault codes

I have a 2001 yrv the car has developed a problem. when i fully open the throttle the engine struggles to increase revs and falters until i back off the throttle.it seems to be either lacking enough fuel or enough air to get combustion going. the engine runs fine at tick over and at partial throttle. would be grateful of suggested remedies or course of action.
My yrv turbo has stared making a funny clonking noise when it sometimes changes gears, it's hard to explain the noise and how and when it happens, usually it is when the gearbox is in auto it's just changed gear say for instance secound and you back of the throttle, it makes quite a load clonk noise, it is very noticable when you have the windows open. any ideas would be helpful ???
does anybody know a good site to get parts for a P reg hijet 7 seater i need a sump, and other little bits like window winders them long bolts for the head lights any help much appreciated.
hi guys, new to this forum and it looks great. mines a 1.3 and well it uses alot of fuel, as in half a tank would get used up in about 2 hours of normal driving! i'm sorry, i don't have killometers to a tank but trust me its too much for such a little engine. i've changed the fuel filter and that helped it but its been a month and its coming back to usuing same amounts just like before.
