I just bought a 1988 Charade CSX. The only thing that concerns me about it is that I can move the steering wheel about 1/2" in and out as if telescoping. Also when I turn the wheel I hear clunks as if the column is moving around inside. The CV joints are not making any noise. Has anyone heard of this.
I've been an undercover Avanzato owner for 4 months now and loved it! Until the last weekend when the water pump developed a massive leak.. Can't really see where but when i put water in it comes gushing out.. I could also hear rattling/crunching when the engine was running.
Anyone got any ideas on where i might be able to get hold of a water pump??
my sporty has just been sitting around for about 3 weeks now and it has now got a squeaking coming from the frount suspension..does eneyone know how i can grease this myself..it has just passed its mot and this is my first car

My '98 Move+ 850 auto has a loose crankshaft pulley. The large centre bolt is tight but the outer pulley section wobbles around. Should the outer be bolted to the inner in some way or is it all held by the centre bolt? What is the cure? Thanks for any advice.
We have a starter problem with our '97 F78 Fourtak. The starter is not engaging and there are two seperate noises. One is coming from what I thought was the starter relay on the offside wing behind the battery but which I now understand is the glow plug relay. With the ignition on it makes a continuous noise like a 12V air compressor! I have checked this relay with an independent 12V supply and it makes the correct single clunk when powered up. The other noise is coming from the starter itself and sounds like a relay trying to engage.
I have a Cuore Dec 2006:30,000 KM 5 speed MT car, lately I have been hearing this tick tick sound from the cars gear - the cycle of the sound has been increasing lately. I had it checked at the dealership and they said it comes from every Cuore. I had the pressure plates changed as they suggested but the sound still remains. This sound only occurs when the car is in nuteral, if I would press the clutch it would vanish. I had some friend advised me to increase the gear oil by 1 ltr and the sound would vanish or should I have the gear changed? Can it be a problem with the clutch plate?
A couple weeks ago I found that my YRV was dripping water (felt like water, smelt like water etc) from under the nearside front. Had a feeling that it was the Air Con condenser or something related, but checked engine fluid levels on the off chance. Coolant normal, power steering normal, but no oil whatsoever. I had driven the vehicle earlier that day and there were no tell-tail signs of any problems. Put 3 litres of oil in to bring the level up to the top of the dipstick. Has been alright since, but I'm confused and very bothered as to where 3 litres of oil vanished to.
