Modifying Sirion 1.0L EJ-VE engine

So far recently all the gaskets were replaced and the car feels more alive but i want to try make this car have a little more power and was wondering if there is anything i can even do to the engine that would improve its power without needing to add a turbo or messing with the internal components. Maybe better injectors or something might help but I'm not too sure. (i have the Daihatsu Sirion Deluxe [facelift model])

Keyless entry install,door lock wires colors

Does anyone know the colors of the negative trigger (lock unlock)on the daihatsu cars? are they the same as toyota color codes?
I'm trying to also find the hazard light wires to hook it to this system.
also, when installing do I need to do anything to the stock security system (the blinking red light)?
it's a 2006 charade.

Radio postion and clock position swap

I have a 2004 Daihatsu Charade SL 5-door and a 2005 Daihatsu Charade EL 3-door. The SL has the radio in a lower position than the EL and I would like to change the position of the EL's radio to the same place as the SL.. Can anyone advise me if this is just a case of removing the radio and the clock display from the EL and replacing them to be in the same position as the SL?

2004 Charade 1.0 El - Brake upgrade????

Hi - We've just put the above car on the road for a daughter who's just passed her test. Everything's OK except the brakes seem nowhere near good enough for the gem of an engine. I've put new discs n pads on front, rear adjusters are good and changed fluid. Car does stop but isn't exactly confidence inspiring.

Are there any bolt on upgrades for rotor size / callipers from anything else in catalogue that would improve things???

Engine Swap

Is it possible to swap a 3sz-VE engine in Toyota Liteace with the 3sz-VE engine in Toyota Rush? Both engines are made by Daihatsu and have 1500cc. However, the engine in the liteace is positioned differently. The engine top and samples of these engine do not match but the other features look the same.

YRV roof bars

Hi. Just bought a 2002 yrv 1.3 premium. Lovely car, just wondered if anyone's ever put roof bars on them, they seem a little hard to find, other than the thule ones but there pretty pricey. Does the yrv share parts with any other daihatsu models? Any info on where to find some bars would be much appreciated. ..regards.

Engine Swap - Perouda MyVi to YRV - problems

I have put a virtually new 2012 MvVi engine into my 2002 YRV ( it failed MOT on smoking and this seemed a cheaper route than valves and bores ). The engines are allegedly the same Toyota based K3-VE2.

Well, it fitted. Some differences - the MyVi engine has a mount / stabiliser point cast into the timing cover that is redundant on the YRV and what looks like an additional oil gallery sensor port on the rear of the crankcase. But everything else fits fine and looks identical.
