Hi I'm new to the site i have just bought a new model terios sx which is great fun.
but every new car i have bought gets door damage so i want to fit stainless side bars with running lights home made( well work made when there not looking )but no one knows how the normal bars/steps bolt on. phoned daihatsu tek dep and they don't know.any one out there know? there is no
obverse signs of fittings holes etc
on my sportrak i have a switch just below the damper and rear wiper switch. I have looked as far as i can and it has wires which lead away inside the dashboard does anyone know if it belongs there or been added by a previous owner i can take a picture and email it to anyone who might want to see it.
Hi, I have just purchased a 1997 sportrak (for my son actually), and we fitted a really nice towbar at the weekend (£80 from eBay). I now have to wire up the electrics, and I gather that there may be a tow electrics plug somewhere on the vehicle.
Needless to say, I cannot find the electrics plug, so can anyone please let me know where this is on the vehicle?. (I really dont want to scotchlock onto the lights wiring)
can anyone give me any advice on the Damper switch on the sportrak as i have not played about with it yet, and when is it best to use it on hard soft and normal etc, any advice would be great

Ok, so after looking at what the market has to offer in my price range I have bought a 96 sportrak elxi.
seems sound with only 66k (not warrantied) on the clock
is there anything i should get looked at apart from my sanity?
Hi im picking up my first 4x4 daihatsu fourtrack the 2.8td. What mods will i need to do to make it better for some offroading, but still keeping it road legal and driveable? Im only thinking light offroad not river swimming full on cliff riding stuff. Any advice much appreiciated.

I have just got a 1.6 sport track 1994 with a duff engine (ends gone) I was going to put diesel in to it but now thinking of just replacing the petrol lump after reading the forum.
Does any one know what else this engine is used in or what other engine would fit straight in
I would like to go with a 2 litre rather than the 1.6

i recently went for the yearly mot and the imspector said that i only had a problem with the front bearing. as he shook the wheel he noticed that the wheel had a bit of play to it. i recently changed a ball joint could this be the problem where i haven't torgued it enough or is it the bearing. the question is how do i tighten the front bearing. please help soon.
