New Owner

Forum:

Just bought my first Fourtrack F75. Many years ago I had an ex MOD IIa Landrover and had great fun. Now the kids have grown up I have gone back to 4X4. I know very little about Daihatsu but I am learning fast from this site which is full of good info. Friends have suggested I get some injector cleaner from Halfords....is this a good idea Unknw Diesel engines are new to me so any advice is most welcome.

Terios Off Road !!!.

Forum:

Any one used a Terios off Road ?. How did it perform ?.
I have also put a note on the 'problems' forum about the Diff Lock on the Terios as the manual does not give much info on its use, any advice out there.
I dont intend on taking my Terios (Terry) up Mount Everest but I would like to know what its capabilities are.

Urgent advice needed on buying 4trak

Forum:

I'm going to look at a 4trak on Saturday 13th.

I've had a talk with the character selling the vehicle and have a few ideas of my own as to what I think. I'll tell you about our phone conversation and ask you what you think of the deal.

The vehicle is an M-reg (1995) 4trak with 57000 miles on the clock.

The seller is selling it with a spare set of wheels and chunky tyres. I asked him if the vehicle had been off-roaded and he said 'no'.

Axle Weights

Forum:

Hi everyone.
I need to know the maximum weights allowed over the back axle on a 1990 Fourtrak (pre independent model). I've been told these are listed on the plate on the bulkhead, unfortunately mine has been replaced so shows only the chassis number.
Going to France for some plonk and need to know my limit on boxes in the boot. Thanks in advance for any info.

2 wd to 4 wd

Forum:

Thanxs for all the advise I shall now reverse when taking out of 4wd cos I have auto hubs I just hope I have not damaged anything all I've been doing is shifting gear knob and driving off.
Why I ask about 4wd in reverse is my drive is on a 30deg gradiant when the snow was down I could'nt reverse up it kept slipping but to drive up it was a dodle.
Alfie.
