Being this is my first fourtrak 2.8 non turbo ive had, they tell me it does not use cam belt but chain, is this a relible thing and does it have to be changed at certain milage as a belt does???
may i say what a very interesting site this is.thank you
Does anybody out there know if it is possible to purchase plastic or rubber wheel arch trims to fit my ageing 1986 dx fourtrack as i am crap with filler
Hello fellow Daihatsu owners. I am asking anybody with a Sportrak if they can help me. 6 months ago my 1991 Sporty's clutch started to slip in 3rd and 4th (it would shoot up to 3500 revs but I didnt have that amount of power) 6 months on and the problem is now in every gear but it comes and goes, if I do about 10 miles in it, it seems to stop. Has this happened to anybody eles and if so how did you cure it,
Anybody looking for bullbars in the Bolton and surrounding area, there's some on a Fourtrak in the scrapyard on Waterloo Street. I got some for my Sportrak from the same place last week for £30. It's not very often you find one Fourtrak in a scrapyard round here, never mind two!
I have just bought a sportrak (EL),G reg looks good all round engine is dry, however looking down from the back of the engine onto what i think to be the transfer box there is a good deal of oil all over, its being dripping onto the prop that goes into the first box with all the squares moulded into it, dont know if its the transfer box or the gearbox.Anyhow the prop will have thrown the oil all over, thing is where is the oil most likely to have come from the gasket on the transfer box perhaps, any ideas welcome, its a great little truck though,Happy new year to all who visit this site.
Anyone have any ideas how I can get rid of a very annoying squeeky clutch pedal. I had tried some WD40 but no difference and it is now driving me crazy.
