Fourtrak advice please ??

Forum:

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum - spend most of my time on the Toyota 4x4 forums.
I'm looking for a 4x4 with better security than a pick-up thats going to work for its living, not too big and is reasonably priced.
Looking about it seems that a fourtrak will fit the bill but I'm the first to admit I know very little about them.
My main concern is are they capable off-roaders with a good set of boots - and are they reliable Unknw

F50 Question

Forum:

Hi Guys, I just got an old F50, its just an off road cut down mud plugger, engine is marked DG on the side of the block. Anybody know where I can get a service manual or technical info on this engine? Also how long should I be holding the cold start (glowplug) button in? I've been using about 20 secs which seems to work but I dont want to kill the plugs by overdoing it.

Hi
I recently purchased a 1990 Sportrak and was very pleased with it. However, I am finding that the cab is too small for me - very painful on my hip joints (yes I am getting on a bit). I may have to part with the Sportrak if I cannot solve this problem. Does or has anyone here know if it is possible to fit a different seat and to position it further back (I need more leg room) Hope someone can help as I like the vehicle and want to keep it.

Removing factory fitted head unit in a mira

Forum:

Hi

Now i really shouldn't be using this site as although i'm a british national, i'm currently living in Japan (hence why i have a mira) anyway after recently paying for my cars shaken (an expensive experience) i've decided to upgrade my incar audio.

Now the problem i have is I have been able to remove the facia around the head unit and all the offending screws facing me but i have a problem with the final screw holding the unit in place, its located under the radio and joins the radio bracket to the dividing strut between the upper and lower audio compartments (i am probably using completely the wrong terminology on that but i hope you get the jist) anyway this screw is a starnge shape, kinda like i need an alan key or something like that to remove it.

4Trak W/shop Manual

Forum:

Firstly many thanks to Lurch for location of interior light/clock/rear door lock fuse. All systems are now go. As I am a recent purchaser of a 4trak I have been trying to obtain a w/shop manual, but the only ones I have found for sale are for the F70,F75+F77. My 4trak is a F78 1995 M reg.Does anybody know if the w/shop manual for F70,75+77 would be correct for a F78 or does the F78 have its own w/shop manual?
