Sportrak hubs

Forum:

I am desperately in need of two auto-free wheeling hubs for my 1991 sportrak. If manual locking one's will fit then they will do nicely. No 4wd is an unbelievable pain in the rear. If anyone can help with either supplying, pricing or any contacts I will be very grateful. Have fun....as I can't at the moment.

sportrack buying advice

Forum:

i'm will need to sell my new charade in the summer as im taking my first steps on the property ladder Sad So i was looking at spending about 3k and pocketing the change from selling my charade. So i was thinking seems i live in Somerset i would like to get into a bit of off roading Smile So was thinking of buying a Sportrack Smile I was after some advice of what to look out for body/engine wise and a rough price guide. I was also concerned about leg room as i am over 6ft in height and have read other threads abut people having leg room issues in sportracks.

Forum:

My sporty is terrible when cold and i have read the discussion on the auto choke so i will change my thermostat and see if this cures it not going off properly. But the poor wee thing is only getting 25 to the gallon and my pockets being Scottish are not lined with gold. Ive changed plugs distributer cap leads oil new clutch etc etc etc but i realy need suggestions to poor running when cold. also need a clock and a cig lighter if anyone can oblige. also i have a line on good looking bull bars from a wee engineer i know for £200.00 new if their is an interest

Sportrak / Applause Engine

Forum:

Hi,

I read somewhere that the 1600cc engine fitted in the Daihatsu Applause is the same as the one fitted to the Sportrak. Can anybody confirm this fact?

Need a replacement block / engine for my Sportrak and been quoted heavy money for the same - (attitude is:if its for a 4x4 you must be loaded ????)- so if Applause engine is the same, or easily modified to fit, that could be a cheaper option, if I can find one - any offers?
