Exhausts

Forum:

Hi there,
I need some advice. I have to replace the exhaust on my Sportrak (1996), when enquiring at the exhaust shops their books only show up to 93 model. Would this fit my Sportrak? I stay in the Edinburgh region. Can anyone suggest something?

Technical manual for old Rocky

Forum:

Hello There,
Being new I really like this site. i am from Denmark and as you might know cars are VERY expensieve here, pay for three and you get one.
I have an old Rocky (Fourtrack) from 1985 and it is running like a champ. I have rebuild it after a major chrash (hope to put it on the gallery later on.
I have the technical manual from 1984, which is an exelent supplement to the famous CD based Manual from LuRcH ( mann, it`s good)and would like to know, if there would be an interest for this. If so, I will scan it in and offer it on a CD. it is only some 216 pages and is covering the F70, F75, F80 and F85 all with timing gear instead of the later timing belt versions.

Fourtrak Free wheeling Hubs

Forum:

Hi, I am new to the web site after buying a Fourtrak last week. I have just brought a 2000 fourtrak 2.8 tdl. I have a few questions about the truck and I thought this might be a good place to ask them. I am not sure if I have got free wheeling hubs. It says nothing on the hubs so they can't be manual ones so I either don't have them or they are automatic. Does anyone know what type if any where fitted to the 2000 models's?? The reason I ask is becasue I was greasing the prop today and I jacked the truck up and turned the front wheels and the prop turned. Is this normal?? I always thought that if the hubs where free the prop should not move when the front wheels are turned.

Identifying gear or cam belt driven engines

I am presuming at the moment its belt driven..but I just realised I could be wrong.

Thanks

lpg injection to diesel engines gives 60% more power

Forum:

has anyone got any experience of doing this - here some stuff off the website www.wtv-uk.co.uk they claim up to 60% more power, more economy, cleaner and all fitted for a grand!

No engine timing or mixture adjustments required to your vehicle or the MFS system, No engine water pipes to be cut, emulators, lambda controls or Ecu fixes to fit, The MFS system is very small & does not use a vaporizer or reducer gas from the lpg tank is fed directly into the MFS unit making the installation easy with only a few easy to connect wires and copper fuel pipes to fit. Once fitted the system will cause No - Zero restriction on the engine unlike other systems that restrict the air intake decreasing the engine performance.

Engaging 4WD

Forum:

I'm new to 4wds and would welcome confirmation of something I spotted somewhere on the forum. It said that before 4wd can be engaged you have to lock the front hubs (unless it has an automatic facility). I have a 1986 F80 which certainly has the lock/unlock lever on the front hubs. I assume therefore that I do not have any automatic 4wd. I take it then that unless I turn the lock on shifting the little lever in the cab does absolutely nothing. Can someone confirm,
Thanks
