My father pulled my car to bits several months ago giving it a good go over. He did a great job, but the only thing wrong now is that the timing is out of sync. Its a 1984 Dahatsu Charade 5 door CX.
Ive tried everywhere to find the right timing but to no avail.
hi. i have a charade cx 91 (non turbo) model and have a prob with it overheating, does anybody know if this is a common prob, if so can anyone explain why it is constantly boiling up. Also having a prob getting hold of a reasonable priced service manual for this model, need spec on points gap and timing at moment. thanks alot. what a great site u have here!
Who makes these engines? Presumably pistons and rings etc are outsourced to another company. Dealers parts prices are so outrageously high that soon my charades (1 diesel, 1 petrol) are likely to end up in a skip. The bodies are gone anyway owing to the nearby ocean.:'(
I would like to save the diesel engine for something else but 1 cylinder is low compression and it won't start anymore.:(
please help 'my car' keeps cutting out, when slowing down to a stop.... It then easily re-starts and runs well untill the next time!

Ive got a mira classic which im led to believe has electric mirrors but i cant see any adjuster for them at all, even a manual adjuster?? Where is the mirror adjusters on a normal mira?
Also the keyfob flashes a little red light but doesnt operate the locks, new battery needed in the keyfob? Thanks!
my 1993 diahatsu applause is having issues the engine light comes on and car dies,i have had the fuel filter replaced, the oil filter,leads,any ideas as it is costing me a small fortune,my mechanic is getiing pretty sick of my car
