My wife got into her YRV turbo the other day started it up and the engine management light lit up, she could not get any gearQuote: the D4 kept flashing, my wife manged to drive it home,it felt as if the car was in first gear only and could not go faster than 20mph would not change gear using full auto or button shift, once home i checked the fluids all fine, i took it out for anouther drive and it's seems to have gone back to normal and the engine managment light has gone out. could this be a sign that the transmission is on it's way out. ??
I drive a 1300 Sirion and this morning i switched the lights on and only the right side came on. When i switch to brights both work fine, but on dim setting only the one side works.
Its the same bulb for dim and brights right? So why wouldn't it be working on dim?
CAN ANYONE DIRECT ME IN THE DIRECTION OF A PICTURE FOR 2.8.TD FOURTRAK ENGINE TIMING MARKS POSITIONS ON THE PULLEYS, AS WE HAVE ONE THAT GOT OILED UP AND SNAPPED, HENCE ALL TIMING LOST?
THANKS AV
Hello all - first time poster here.
My neighabour has a UK '56 Sirion with the 1.3 engine and as he's 80 something I'm helping him with an Oil/Filter Change.
I'm mechanicly able (in my job and with DIY on bikes and cars) but have no experience at all of Japanese cars so dont know what do expect.
Got a problem with my fourtrak.
I've got no dip headlights. Full beam and side lights are OK !
Haven't had chance to check bulbs but can't see both going at same time.
Has anyone got any ideas...I'd really appreciate any advice.
I have a 91 applause 1.6 efi and I was driving it to work the other day when the engine suddenly cut out (no bangs, pops etc just died) and would'nt start again.
I have a 2002 Sirion 4 Trak which has been great but some time ago I noticed that my nearside brake disc gets significantly hotter than the offside. The brakes have never been sharp but it passed its MOT no problem and doesn't pull significantly under hard braking but there is a noticable pull when braking softly.
