YRV 1.0ltr Clutch

Hi there,
Can anybody help me?
I've just bought a YRV 1.0ltr (989cc) 2001 on a Y reg
After driving it for a week the clutch has started slipping.
I've spoken to my friendly parts supplier who lists every model except the 1.0ltr version.
Does anybody know if this engine was fitted to any other model, or any other car as I've been told daihatsu supply engines to toyota.

Battery not being charged

Hi there, I hope someone can help me. My battery is not being charged.It's a brand new fully charged one. When I use my brakes/indicator/lights etc. my radio goes off, eventually there's no juice for starting.have checked alternator its putting out 14.5 v. could it be my regulator? if so where is is located? My vehicle is a Hijet EFI 'P' reg.

Daihatsu HiJet Deck Van Blowing Fuses

I have what I believe is a 1996 Daihatus HiJet Deck Van. I was driving along and the engine went dead. It keeps blowing the 10 Amp. E/G fuse. As soon as I put in a new fuse it is blown. I can not seem to find out what this fuse operates or where the wiring runs. I purchased an electrical diagram manual and a service manual but there is not any specific information about this fuse. I purchased this vehicle used shipped out of Japan to the US. I can get used parts but expert repair information is hard to come by.

Applause and HD-E overheating

I have had problems with my Applause overheating since I bought it 6 months ago. Having had a trawl around the net I realised that it was a very common problem. I have looked at everything, and finally seem to have sorted it: The car would be fine for miles but would suddenly boil up and eject water from the expansion bottle, even though the temp gauge was still in the acceptable area. The gauge would then climb up to the top. The thermostat was obviously fine as it warmed up quickly to midway and then never moved.

Spotlights?

Hello, iv got a K reg sporty elxi 1.6, need to wire up spotlights only 2 of them, they'r a brand called 'Ring' bulbs are H3 12V 55W.... where do i get a relay for spotlights and how then do i wire them up? Tried the old plug em in the back of the headlights but no joy (other posts mentioned this also) i do get side lights with the ign on (engine running) which iv heard causes problems when trying to wire up spots.......

hi
ive blown the head gaskit on my grandmove has anyone ever replaced one. ive two questions......1. how much is the new gaskit to buy
2. how difficult is it to change on my own?

if anyone has done this please please post me the info or ill be scrapping a good little carand i know its still got some life in it lol:)
