Hi just wondering if there is anyone out there who might know of a company / individual that would be able to sell a cylinder block.
For my SPORTRAK.
This is a worst case scenario, as my block was on my engine stand. The top bolts pulled through, which snapped the bottom two. And this caused the block to fall onto a ratchet on the floor, taking a small V out of the cast aluminium. Its not gone into the cylinder sleeve, but am a tad concerned if not a bit peeved.
A garage sort out has revealed a few brand new genuine brake parts (cylinders and springs) suitable
for an early model 1977 Daihatsu Jeep. Some part numbers are just visible on the faded packaging. I also have a new cork sump gasket for the Daihatsu/Toyota petrol 1600cc engine that was fitted to the jeeps at that time. The vehicle model was an ‘F’ series I think, like the Taft but the sidelight/indicator lens was rectangular rather than square. I have a photo of the vehicle if needed for identification purposes. It was a personal import, reregistered as ANP519R and sold as long ago as 1987... if the owner is reading this I would be delighted to hear from you!
this maybe a stupid question
but doe sanybody have specs on the size etc of the brake shoes on the sportrack. and , if my cat convertor is blocked does this affect the idling of the sporty
