Hi all, We are re-painting our Rocky's wheels, after we got a suitable socket and Bar to get the wheels off we have the next tricky thing to get off is/are the Hub Covers, I wonder what tool do you use to get them off, I have been using a flat bladed screwdriver at the moment, which is obviously NOT VERY GOOD, it obviously needs a wide flat bladed tool with a right angle bend at the end of it, has anybody any suggestions what i can adapt for this job, please.
Hi guys, My wife has a LWB nissan terrano and I have to say I am impressed by the amount of power and the superlow ratio gearbox and was wondering whether anyone has any experience of a SWB version and whether they are any good offroad cos they look awfully low at the front end. I currntly take my sporty offroad and I am pleased with it but feel that sometimes it just lacks that bit of power so I am considering changing it for something with more grunt.
I've decided that my Jeep CJ-5 restoration is going to be a very long term projest so am looking for a vehicle to use in the mean time (by past experience that'll probably mean several years )
Normally I buy older Land Rovers but am very dissolusioned with them so am looking at the alternative and fancy a Daihatsu.
The model I like is the older Fieldman with flat metal roof rather then the later raised (composite ?) type.
I am seriously considering replacing my viscous fan for a 16" blower fan from Kenlowe for my '94 Fourtrak F78 after taking to caravanning. So I was wondering if anyone has fitted one to theirs and how you found fitting it. Kenlowe have said it is a simple DIY job but I would value any of your experiences before I go ahead and order.
Hello all this may seem very stupid but I have purchased a 1997 charade with a blown 1.5efi motor it has been very hard to get a 1.5 efi motor there seems to be plenty of 1.3efi motors about in Australia with low kilometers but i havnt been able to get a 1.5efi motor so my question is can i put a 1.3 motor into my car without having to change much, your input would be very helpfull. thanks janine
Greetings again all Sportrak Devotees from the land of Ice and Fire, Björk and BrennivÃÂn...
A kindly mate has offered me a 1992 Feroza ELII (there are no other Sportraks here in Iceland) gratis. It has a carb.
Will the engine be compatible with my 1997 Sportrak XiSE (as you know it has EFI)and is it difficult to adapt a carb engine for an injection?
Also as the Sporty is RHD and his Feroza LHD any problem cannabalizing the gearbox with some fatha beans and a nice chianti to use as a spare?
I'm thinking about fitting a third brake light in the rear window of my Sportrak, problem is that it's a late model with the lights in the bumper. Is there an easy way to pick up a connection?
Just wondered if there was any major difference between parts on the 2.8td and 2.8DX. There seems to be lots of spare parts around for the TD but not for non turbo models. Any comments appreciated.
