hiya, i like the look of a chunky 4x4, and have been considering buying a set of spacers to bring the wheels out, as this would be cheaper than buying 4 new wider tyres. what i'm worried about though is putting extra strain and pressure on the hubs etc. as anyone had experiance with spacers and what are the pro's and con's. would it cause any problems and what about any long term damage?
Is there anybody manufacturing body repair panels for the Fourtrak of is it a case of main agent only
The "heap" I've just bought might be repairable but there is no way I could live with the bodges, albeit strong and MOTable.
My hobby is restoration and I can only weld / metalwork to that standard.
If presented with a previously unwelded, but rotten vehicle I'd be happier then one which someone has plated all over in the past.
I've just collected the £175 Fourtrak I bought off eBay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=330001199653&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=014
Better then expected and there is a chance it might be easilly MOT's rather then used as a spares donor.
It's actually the model I prefer - round headlights, central spare wheel on rear door and higher level rear lights.
Anyone tell me what the model designation is for the one I own
Hey gusy i have a rocky that is pretty basic and want to make it wheelable for low cost. I'm looking into lifting it and getting bigger tires. If there is anything i might need to know... well thats why im posting here Comments and help is greatly appreciated!
I've been stung sereval time with buying off eBay. Pictures and description make a vehicle seem perfect but it's almost as if it's something different when you go to collect
I saw this Fourtrak - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180001253962&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=008
that was close to me so I asked if I could view.
It took 4 messages to seller before they replied which should have made me wary in they didn't want anyone looking before buying.
Hi there, just recently bought myself a Daihatsu Fourtrak Independent TDl (M Reg) and need some answers to a few questions if anyone could be good enough to help me.
1. Will the radio surround from any age fourtrak fit mine?
2. I've only got carpet in the front, am missing from the back of the front seats all the way to the boot. Would a carpet from an older Daihatsu fit into mine?
No doubt i'll have countless more questions soon so all help is much appreciated!!
Right, ive managed to remove all the rubber vacuum pipes on the efi!! As I`m in the middle of restoring a H reg sporty. And removed them as well as everything else, to rebuild the engine. So i am in need of some help to put them back.
If someone could send me some pics, or how to put them back together it would be much much much appreciated.
I have looked through the daihatsu workshop manual, and found nothing about them.
I'm looking for a mini 4x4 - I think so far I have found myself an F20, old and in need of restoration but something that should be alot of fun. My question is: Is the F20 also known as a Pampas or is a Pampas totally unrelated? I've scoured the 'net for Pampas sites but to no avail. If you know of any such sites a link would be very much appreciated. Either way I'll hopefully still get the F20. Despite the girlfriends "displeasure"!! Cheers, Matt.
