Sportrak/Feroza Soft Top clips

Forum:

I have bought a 93 Feroza SXP II here in Sydney Australia. Great fun little car. Got given two soft tops and frames with it. However, one of the soft tops (original) is knackered and has the press stud fixings while the brand new one is the pull down rail clip type. I think previous owner ordered wrong roof! So I have a complete set of press stud mounting bolts which will not work with my new soft top and I need the other mounting system for the roof. It consists of two side strips, one rear and two corner strips. Unfortunately, they are very expensive from Daihatsu. Any ideas guys or know some-one breaking a soft top version with these fittings. Worst comes to worst I will sell new soft top and buy another to fit my mountings. Thanks for your help.

Fourtrak workshop manual - paper version?

Forum:

Hi, newbie post having popped over from SaabScene and MGF BBS. My Father has a 1994 TDX(and Sirion for my Mum)and is looking for a paper version of the full workshop manual - he doesn't have a PC and won't be getting one so a CD is no use unless I get one and print it all off. He wants the official manual as a pressie but no joy from the dealers. Can you actually get them anywhere, I know it will

Contact points

Forum:

Hi,

I am hoping that someone can help me, I have a 1987 Rocky 2.0ltr petrol with a 5 speed manual gearbox. My problem is that I am having to replace the Contact Points
due to ignition problems and I have no idea what the gap should be set at, as I do not have a manual.
So does anyone know the setting please, as this would be gratefully appreciated.

Many thanks in anticipation.

Regards.

Forum:

hello folks...

just bought a 1990 sportrack el, which im chuffed about Smile I've never driven a 4x4 before and apologise if the following questions seem moronic Blush

what setting should the dampers be on for road driving? im assuming that you'd use the H setting for offroading?... its on N at the mo, and seems ok... so whats S for and when would you use it?

I've been reading some of the threads on here, and theres a bit of talk about automatic and manual hubs....what are they.. where are they.. and if i dont have to turn anything to get it into 4wd does that mean they are automatic? .. yes yes.. i know the questions are getting blonder....theres better to come Blum 3

want a sportrak some help needed

Forum:

hi guys just signed up, im looking at buying a sportrak as a second car mostly for towing my motorbikes to places as my new car cant have a towbar. i only looking to spend 500-600 pound so looking at a old one, what are they like for getting bits and spares, do they tend to have problems with engines or rust ect that i should look out for. whats the best spec to get. do they tow well and what are they like off road.

Hello.

Forum:

Just another newbie saying Hi. I've just bought my first Daihatsu, a Rocky that used to belong to another club member, Graham. I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne, so if there's any off-roading going on, please let me know. I've been off-roading for a few years in a variety of vehicles, so I thought I'd try a Fourtrak. The first thing I want to do to it is give it some more axle articulation, so any ideas will be gratefully received.
