Ours flew thru another MOT today (and after all the sweat I put in fitting a new exhaust, I was glad) and I had a little chat with the tester.
Apparently, a few recently have gone down with brake pipe failure, because the metal pipe going to the rear catches all the crud. So it would be a good idea to give them a coat of Ku-rust and then a smear of grease, esp before the winter draws on.

I live in Aus and recently purchased a Toyota Blizzard. I researched this vehicle ensuring it was Imported correctly and that we could source parts and yes there is listings for the vehicles parts.
Everything was okay until I went to reregister the vehicle which I did but was a little surprised when they told me it was an '83.

My trialler has an old, very old, Daihatsu g'box. Possibly a late 70's diesel one.
It's got the long forward positioned gearstick and I'd like to know if the short stick with the remote linkage will bolt onto this box without too much hassle.
I've had a crawl under my Indy, but there's not enough room to see properly!

It does have a switch that gives threee different settings, but how do we find out if this switch actually does anything ?.
For a DIY person like me, how easy is it for me to do a few simple tests to check to see/hear if this switch actually works, i guess it must be connected to the shock adsorbers or similar, at least i assume it has some shock absorbers, .
