Hello, as the title says i'm thinking of buying a fourtrack. Had a drive in a 95 one last night and going to look at a couple more tomorrow so i've a couple of basic questions The one we looked at last night (151k miles, good condition £2850) had the 2 seats in the boot but we couldn't see any seat belts, is that normal? What sort of mpg should i expect for normal driving and when towing a caravan?
i am after buying a 1989 rocky and it is in perfect condition.but there is no marking on the switch which adjusts the shocks.whic h is soft and which is hard,i can't tell.
Anyone ever heard of these befor? Where would it have come from? It's a Forenza (Arn't they Sportrak equivilants usually?), but it's only 2WD, and it's mounted in a 4trak body. At the mo it's on the link bellow (e-bay). I think thats a sportrak engin (it does say 1600). Notice the destinct lack of FWH. Why would you want a 2WD off roader?
I am not much use with mechanics/elecrtics being a female but does anyone know of an easy way of altering my electrics so that the lights go off when my engine is switched off? I don't want a flat battery... I have a Sportrak 1998.
I really like the Fourtrak's, but I've never owned one as yet. However, I have the chance to buy a Fourtrak 2.0 petrol, on a G plate.
It looks in good condition, bodywork is all tidy and what have you - but having never owned one I don't know what to look for, or if its best to try and get a diesel engine?
Are the petrol's any good or would it really be best to look for a diesel? He wants £900 for it - I have no idea if that's good or bad. It's got 44000 on the clock. Do 1990 Fourtrak's have 5 digit clocks and this could've rolled over once, (or twice!!)

I have just bought an old Daihatsu 4x4 the log book has no model name on it it was built in 1979. Can anyone tell me the model I have found a name F50 on the body would this be right? It has a complete fiberglass body and is in good condition. I need a service manual any ideas where I can get one. As you can tell I am a complete novice to 4x4s!!!:help.

hi,question,did they alter the gearbox on the fourtraks after 93 cause i dont have the dreaded nut on the left the same as the filler on the right.i did on my 89 f75 but not on this one 94 f78.the diahatsu logo is on the casing so its not another.just curious.should have taken bundy's advice and rigged up a filler pipe now ive to scrub the slabs.
