America & Caribbean support (Feroza)

Forum:

In the Caribbean we have the Daihatsu Feroza and Rocky which are more or less the same, but it is IMPOSSIBLE TO GET PARTS for these vehicles. Australia and the UK only maybe but the duties would be ridiculous. Is there any where in the U.S that sells parts for Rocky/Feroza 1991/1992 models.

Help, else i'll burn that damn vehicle (lol)

Question from new Sport owner

Forum:

Have bought a '94 ELXi last week. My first Daihatsu and so far am very pleased. It's immaculate (although high mileage at 95,000) and everything (well, nearly everything) works.

It's intended for farm work so won't stay immaculate for long! Have been trying to find out what weight it will legally tow (UK law) without any success whatsoever. (Google sent me here, very pleased to find this site) Am at present trawling through past posts here - I see there are several topics relating to towing, so I may be back here later for some clarication.

Sportrak wheel spacers

Forum:

Hello Sportrak aficionados

My question is:

What´s the gen on those 35mm wheel spacers on ebay? The ones that broaden the track. Lateral stability is a big issue for me here, as the early winter snows have arrived already Sad

As the Sportrak is a SWB it has a reputation here (however ill-deserved) for pirouetting on icy surfaces. Last year I drove on 215s, all year tyres with metal stud inserts. This year I´m going to try the "Loftbolladekk"? Which translates as "Airbubbletyres". They seem to stick to the ice when braking suddenly on my old Subaru, though it does have the advantage of ABS...So please do let me know your experiences of using the bolt-on wheel spacers.
