hey to everyone out there!! just signed up 2day hope to get alot of help from my fellow daihatsu drivers!
i've got a g200 97 1.3 charade gti and i'm looking to put an induction kit on it.
i've bought mushroom performance filter and it fits very well, problem being that the original air box has 2 vacuum hoses and an air temp sensor going into it! the kit that i have does not have arm arch shaped metal tube like some kits and so there is nowhere to attach the hoses and sensor.
I have a "tricky" question regarding the new Sirion 2007 1.3 automatic.
When I insert the key into the switch with my door open or when I put into reverse gear, I hear those annoying beep sounds...Is there any way of disable those sounds without disconnecting the small speaker?
I know that in some cars it is possible to get a certain access to the cars computer if I press a certain sequence on the "Mile reset knob" is it possible in this car? if so, how can I disable those annoying beeps?
Hi fellow daihatsu owners. I have recently bought meself a F10 Daihatsu 4x4 (1977) its motor will need replacing soon. No-one in my country Australia has a motor for me hence my quiry: does anyone know what other motors would be compatible for my car or has anyone converted an F10. Was also wondering if anyone knows where i can get a workshop/service manual for my car. I am a complete beginner at this and hoping someone can help.
Hi have got a JC-DET X4 engine for sale - brand new never used.
Based on the JB-DET engine so will suit Copen or 4cyl Mira TRXX thingy.
713cc engine twin cam, sequential injection, BB large turbo, VVT, motorsport
forged pistons, conrods and crank, revs to 9000rpm, bigger injectors and so on.
118bhp output at 15psi, told it can run at 24psi with no internal modifications which is about
140+bhp.
My 1990 Domino 850cc has always run a trifle on the rich side and since I cannot obtain any sort of workshop manual, I have left well alone. The other day I checked the condition of the air filter element and was somewhat horrified to find that the filter had been shedding what looked like fine glass or ceramic fibres, which were being gobbled up by the carb and were stuck all around the intake orifice. Air filters are rarely cheap, so rather than changing it for yet another useless obstruction in the airflow, I converted to nylon stocking filters, which had worked so well on a variety of cars in the past. First obtain your stockings or tights ( could be fun ). Cut a generous unladdered section ( double thickness ) and stretch over and securely ( very secure with no risk of being sucked in )attach to the end of the air intake hose with a plastic strap. Do the same for the other intake hose which is only in use on the "winter" position ( you can chuck the old winter flexible if you wish). Make sure the ends of these inlet hoses are not obstructed and that any bends are as gentle as possible. Remove and discard the airfilter element but retain the air filter box assembly because this acts as an effective "cold box". Screw the lid back on ensuring that seals are good and the arrows on the lid and body line up.
I am thinking of buying a 1.3L stock Diahatsu Charade on the weekend. I want to know if it's a realistic option to supercharge it.
I don't know much about engines or cars, so you'll have to go easy on me.
I assume some kind of small centrifugal unit taken from some other little Japanese car and adapted to fit the Charade would be the go. I've seen a few on eBay kicking around for about $500AUD.
