Hi all, I have just purchased a little '97 993cc Hijet, firstly to assist with a house move and then hopefully to keep for camping etc. It's a little rough round the edges but I'll tidy it up a bit, it was bought for the princely sum of £500 so I wasn't expecting too much on the looks front! I've become the new owner of an old Sportrak. (HD-C Engine, one of the first off the line, I suppose.)

First things first, got it down to it's undies, and swapped out the cambelt, using instructions provided on this very forum. Drove it to work, it Ran so hot it blew the Rad (in exactly the same place as another user on this forum told someone it would... jeez, you guys are good...)

hi,i just bought a 1998 fourtrack tdx and i am over the moon,my only wory is when on highish revs quit a lot of blue smoke is admitted is this normal?,can any body help

Had to obtain a set of brake shoes from Daihatsu for my Hijet as could not find any other supplier anywhere. This type contains the arm attachment for the handbrake and the snail cam brake adjuster, total price nearly £90!

can any one tell me when the cam belt has to be changed its done 36000 miles from new its a p reg only use it weekends and is there a site or place where i can get a workshop manual for it many thanks steve
