Me and two mates have registered to do the Mongol Rally this summer www.mongolrally.com and we are considering doing it in a HIJET MPV.
We're thinking about the HIJET as there will be three of us and a load of spares and other stuff we'll have to take with us so the extra space will be a bonus.
iv recently bought a sportrak got it home, came 2 drive it and it wont start.
it turns over and when starts to fire theres a bang and it stops.
i finally got it running earlier today but it was missing like mad
can anyone help me because i haven't got a clue
Does anyone know where the paint code is located on a hijet? I thought it was on the door but couldn't find it, also would anyone know if there is just one white for all hijet vans. Need to do some repairs but am stuck on finding a paint match.
We have a HiJet MPV, 1298cc, Reg 51. All was OK until the change in law on Tax Bands.
We are now charged £170 for the year which is Band G. This comes under Light Goods Vehicle.
But as it is a family car is this right.
I have asked around and some are only paying £110 per year.
Do others have this vehicle and what are you paying?
Hi My Hijet has had a new radiator, the head gasket has been tested and it is ok, the thermostate has been removed and it is still losing water, the small rubber stopper on the air bleeding tube at the top of the radiator has a hole in it and I have been told by my local dealer that I will need to buy a new radiator to replace this tiny rubber part, they could not find it on their system. Can anyone help please?
I am currently looking at buying a 1994 Turbo diesel Aussie Rocky/Fourtrack in a private sale. I had the vehicle inspected and the only concerning item that came to light was a coolant leak seeming to be coming from the rear of the block/head. Has anyone had a similar problem with theirs, the vehicle seems in pretty good nic apart from that.
Hi there, I just wanted to let those of you who don't already know, that you can glean much from the government motoring tax website than just being able to re-new your tax. For example I have just been able to see relevant 'recalls' for my beloved Daihatsu hi-jet. Paste the following link and take a look....
A Petrol one, in good-ish nick (Don't mind a small bit of work). MOT essential.
£ Neg. If it's red or blue, and in N. Staffs/S. Cheshire then so much the better. Info and pics if you have, or know of one for sale, to.....dharr55522 at hotmail.com, or PM me.
