ok so how many of us have sliding doors that we can only open from the inside?
i found on my hijet on the outer door handle is a small pin that levers against the spring mechanism (arrowed). thing is the plastic round the base of the pin has broken off (red dot line)= not enough leverage to set the latch mechanism off.

I haven't voted in the Poll on the Meet /Event for all Daihatsu drivers because I'm much more interested in a get-together just with other Hi-jet drivers. There doesn't seem a way of feeding this back - so I'm hoping this might be a good place to say it.

I have a recently purchased 68 Hijet and I am trying to locate any info, parts, or other vehicles available. I think this vehicle is quite rare, thanks in advance for your help!

just been out to have a look at what size my tyres are..
the rear are clear on size 155 (width of tread)/80 (height of wall/profile)-R (speed rating) 12 (rim) C (commercial)
The front tyres are not so clear cut!
155 R12 C.. no profile size.

can i take a punt and say the fronts are 80 profile as well? 2 different makes fitted to front/rear.
