There is a small leak from the rear axle. Excuse my ignorance but its from the circular shaped bit in the middle of the rear axle which I am assuming its the rear differential.
How worried should I be about that. I'm talking a couple of drips a night or so. Its due a service in 2000 km, can I just hang on until then to get it sorted?
I picked up a crack in my 4trak windscreen a while back. It wasn't repairable but neither was obscuring my vision so I left it until nearer the MOT before getting it fixed.
It was fixed a couple of weeks ago ..... great, all done and dusted HA b....dy HA !
A truck spat up a stone today and put a 4 inch crack in the damn windscreen again, a week before the MOT.
Sorry these may be some silly questions but Im a new Fourtrak owner and I'm struggling to find some info.
Ive got a '98 TDX Independent but would like to fit a roof rack to carry a canoe. Is this possible? I understand the rear raised roof section is non load bearing. Can I do anything other than get a rather expensive custom made rack which has supports down to the rear plate by the lights?
Hi. I know the new Terios is a full time 4x4. What I want to know is, does it have a low ratio as well? Or is it a 4WD car?
Also I notice it has 16" wheels? Does anyone know if these are the same stud pattern as the Sportrak / Fourtrak?
When I let the fuel run low the filter gets filled up with rubbish. I doubt the tank has been off in 20 years. Has anyone got any tips for removing and cleaning the tank? Can you drop the tank down before removing the pipes/electrics? How do the electrics disconnect, is there a plug? The metal fuel pipes are quite rusty up by the shock mount where they vanish from sight and so I don't want to break anything off.
anyone got a wiring diagram for a f78 1994 fourtrack independent rewiring back end of car and of coaurse its been messed on with before, i am swaping the lights from bumper to rear piller anyone help with the wiring.
Is it possible to fix the plastic arch covers used on TDX models to the steel arches of a Fieldman. I have a year 2000 Fourtack TDL Fieldman and the edges of the rear wheel arches has suffered some corrosion. I thought (!?) that a simple solution might be to cut away the corroded edge of the arch, treat and paint the remainder and then fix (glue) a set of plastic arch covers which I could probably find at a breakers.
Question is; will these just fit on top of the existing Fieldman arches?
