Im from Australia, we dont have a forum for Daihatsu Charades at all, im not geek or anything i just love the fact that these cars do not consume so much petrol and are so city friendly.
My problem is when i turn my fan on and put the tempreture to RED (hot) it only ever blows cold air. Note I do not turn the A/C on there is no gas needs regasing, even so it shouldnt make difference. I think something is missing from my engine but not sure what or where.

Just had new pads fitted by local garage and now the front pads/calipers rattle a lot. Any ideas? Should the garage fit a anti-rattle spring kit too?

Can anyone help me. I have a Oct 1993 Charade and i need to know whether the thread on the bolt that holds the bottom pulley to the end of the engine crank shaft has a left hand or right hand thread. Its so damned tight i don't know whether or not i'm making it tighter when i try to turn it. That's the other thing i need to know. How do i prevent the pulley turning when i try to loosen the bolt?

ive got a charade gtti 1990 H reg and its rev counter only jumps into action when the turbo cuts in ive tacken it to bits and powered it up using a signal generator and it still only works at certain stages on the sweep also cant find the data sheet for the chip on the back of it which is a (BA6730B) that would help me fix the problem
i cant find a second hand one anywhere so if you know any ideas on what i can do or where to find let me know
Hi, Just wonder ing if anyone can help. I'm in Ireland and have a 97 charade 1.3 a weird thing keeps happening to it when i'm changing down gear, usually from 3rd to 2nd, it cuts out, the ignition lights comes on and all but then just starts back up. i very worried about it because it losses all power including the power steering.
The exhaust manifold heatshield on my 1998 L501 ED-20 engine has got a bit rotten round the edges, but worse still a couple of the bolts are badly rusted. It's also rusted round one of the bolt holes so it's developed an annoying rattle.
So given the rusty bolts it looks like it will be hard to fit another. I'm assuming that running without a heat shield would lead to melted plug leads and worse? Would it be OK to run with exhaust manifold heat wrap instead or would this lead to a cooked cat.
Hi recently i have had the front 2 tyres changed on my Cuore. I have noticed each tyre has a different type of tread. Does this matter? both tyres are the right size, just the treads are different patterns. thanks 4 ur help
We have a 6 month old new-style Sirion and (mostly) love it.
It has however one fault that is driving my wife crazy. After driving for a bit there is a clicking noise that appears to be coming from behind the rear pillar moulding on the driver's side. Initially we though it was the seat belt (maybe the inertia reel), but now not so sure. It doesn't start immediately, and it doesn't seem related to speed or road surface. Is there anything solenoid operated in that area that could cause the noise (fuel solenoid?).
i have just put a new clutch in my fourtrack 1990 f75 and now the four wheel drive does not work has anyone got any ideas which way the vacume pipes go to the transfure box
im running 1.4 bar of boost in my 993cc charade and destroy head gaskets regulary .does anyone know where i can get a multi layer steel head gasket or a felpro head gasket no 57790 .because everyone in aust just try to sell me graphite garbage.can you poms help.
