My 1999 1 litre Sirion seems to be running too rich. The inside of the tailpipe is always sooty black. Does anyone know how I can adjust the Air/Petrol ratio or is it a Dealer job. Dennis.

I'm hoping to change the head gasket on a recently purchased Nippa this weekend - it shares the 846cc ED20 engine with the Cuore (L201 and L501 I think). Can anyone tell me the torques values and tightening sequence please? I'd buy the maunal off the site but a)I'm too tight! b)I can't find a link to actually buy the manual (maybe I'm tight and stupid?!) c)I need it asap!
clean contacts same problems still. Have continunity across main and dip poles until dip switch unplugged at dashboard. suggets faulty dip switch to me. comments please
Most people that have owned a charade g102 ( produced between 89 and 93 ) know that they have problems with the rpm counter.
Have anybody inhere just the slightest thought about what would be wrong?
Between 0 to around 5k rpm the counter is DEAD. No movement what so ever.
When pushing the car further, the rpm counter starts moving from the bottom, starting at 9k and slowly working up to 7k, while the car's actual rpm hits around 6-6.5k.
I just got a Daihatsu Cuore build 1991. When I drove it at night a few days ago I noticed that the dashboard lights weren't working, and also the taillights did not go on. I checked the fuse box and noticed that one fuse was broken. I replaced it, but as soon as I turned on the lights it just blew out again. So there must be a shortage somewhere. Does anyone have suggestions how to fix this problem? Many thanks.
i was driving my car last night and all of a sudden the car slowed down n every time a pressed the accelerator the revs dropped then wen i baraked the car did not start again. i kept tryin to turn it over but it would start for a second the cut off. i think it mite be the fuel problem cuz its not holdi the revs. i need to find where the fuel cut off switch is so i can give that a try?
I have recently purchased a 2000 Gran move with 30k on the clock and am very pleased but have one strange problem.
I am a radio ham and have fitted a VHF/UHF two way radio , everything is fine on UHF (430 Mhz) but on VHF (145Mhz) after transmitting for a short while it seems to cut the engine which will not restart for a while . The engine "starts" breifly but will not run. If I leave it a few minuits it will start and run ok. I guess the RF is getting into the engine management unit .
I've just joined this forum, having been unaware of its presence. My question relates to a '99 Cuore. It has just failed its MOT on "Nearside steering armhas relative movement at its fixings" Speaking by 'phone with a mechanic from the garage which failed the car, he indicated that it will be the inner ball joint on the steering arm to rack that is loose.
Is this an adjustable joint or a rack replacement job
