Loss of drive on auto box

My wife has a YRV turbo 130 and today (Sunday 28/10/12) has lost drive from auto box in postions 3 & 4. Drives ok up to 2nd gear then when it hits third the drive goes: it drops back to first. If you drive it in 2nd position it drives ok up to second, as it should. The oil looks and smells clean and level is ok. Any relation to a 'hiss' for about two seconds on initial engagement of drive - forward or back.

Ok, as predicted the car did fail on the ball joint. Problem is that blueprint stopped producing these about 1 year ago and although they are still listed cannot be supplied. I have tried endless options and now have come to a stand still. I was informed that the copen one would fit but they do have a different part number so am reluctant to get one. So does anyone have a offside one for sale or can anyone help. The local daihatsu dealer wants £168 + vat which is actually worth more than the car!!! lol.

Charade Temperature Warning ( mira , cuore ) PLEASE HELP :(

Hi, ive a charade 1.0 (2007) – drives fantastic for such a small car! – Problem is the temperature warning light comes on after 15 or so mins of driving. The car has been in and out the garage since jan 2012. Had several ‘temperature –switches’ replaced and the problem persists. The car can be left running at stand still and never cooks itself or attempts to overheat or leak, the fan works fine, the thermostat and pump are good; - all appears fine, -Accept the light comes on indicating a temp problem/fault. PLEASE HELP as its costing a fortune!!!!!!!! 

2003 Daihatsu Cuore buzzing

I have a 2003 Cuore, and it has a buzzing sound every time I accelerate too quickly, and to have the sound go away, I dab the accelerator quickly (with the clutch in, so the car doesn't jump)and the sound goes away only to return when I accelerate too quick again. I don't know what the part does or why it's acting this way. Could anybody please help?

Sirion 1.0 litre engine swap and oil filter problem

Just swapped out a 1 litre Sirion engine from my sons 1996 car. The engine we installed has come from a later model car, post 2006 we think. Was not till we were finishing off we noticed the oil filter is a different arrangement. Old one is the standard throw away screw on. New one looks like a paper element canister cover unit. The engine arrived from the auto wreckers with no oil filter just this oil line from the cam covers down and the exposed oil filter hole.

2007 Sirion ABS Light - Left Rear ABS sensor

hi,
my abs light is always on, we connected to pc via obd port, the fault is "left rear abs sensor". is it possible to repair the sensor? if i need a new one, where can i find it? it is to expensive and hard to find the sensor at Turkey. is toyota yaris abs sensor is compatible (or another toyota sensor)?

Sirion rally 4 air filter?

Hi guys im new on the forum, proud owner of a 2003 sirion rally 4.
I've had it 2 months now its coming up to its first winter service and i was having trouble finding an airfilter for it. Would anyone be able to tell me if this is the correct air filter for my rally? or if it will fit?
