Okay I have now owned my YRV turbo for close on 5 years (time flies and all that).
I thought it be best to put a list of things I have had to had replaced which may help other owners.
These are known for the YRV Turbo and should be looked at:
1).. Anti roll bar and backets which are prone to snap. Brackets were updated by Daihatsu but not all cars were done. Dee warranty at the time
Hi I have a YRV 1.3. The n/s front caliper has started to become stiff and stick on . I took it off to have a look and the seal has a big psplit in it and water has got in and now looks rusty so I think I need to replace it but cant seem to find one online. Does any one know where I can get one from .
Regards Neil
The light came on whilst I was returning home. The engine seems to be running normally with no noticable changes. I did travel reluctantly
the final 15 miles home with the light on and at a slower speed.
Can anybody help as it is urgent and could I damage the engine if I continue to use it??
HELP
Hi, can anyone advise me of the best place to get a new timing kit from please. My chain is very rattley and just to be on the safe side want to replace it. many thanks
My car battles to start sometimes...the starter swings it and then I give it a little gas it takes. It seems to idle lower than it used to and sometimes dies going around corners or at traffic lights. I do how ever have the timing chain rattle or tensioner issue so not sure it can cause this as well?
What must I check?
1. Idle control valve - where is it?
2. Fuel pressure
Since we bought the Cuore, we have changed air filter, oil (5w30 full synthetic) and lots of running about with the A/C on, mostly city. Figured out the gas milage from the first fill up and 400 kilometers later, was 6.7liters per 100kilometer and still no smoke except when in first gear revving up, there is some blue-black puff and some oil consumption.
