My '89 Charade 1.3 EFI is driving me nuts! In the mornings, it starts and runs fine. When I have driven a few Ks' and stop somewhere for 20 mins or more, it is really hard to start again. It will turn over fine, but takes about 30 seconds of turning over before it starts to chug and belch heaps of black smoke. Then it will run really rough for about 5 mins before settling down. When it is running rough, the engine warning light comes on, but at no other time.

I have a 91 Applause that has been running fine up until now. It had some problems starting and then would stall while driving along. The coil and distributor has been replaced, and the computer removed and the connections resoldered. Now it seems to be idleing very low, and will stall occasionally after breaking and changing gears. It is driving me mad.
Hi all. I am new here and am wanting to change the gearbox oil in my 1995 Daihatsu Mira (as it is called in New Zealand). I am unsure if I have located the fill and drain plugs correctly. Below is a link to a marked up photo of the gearbox. Could someone who knows about these things advise if I have the correct plugs?

I've got a 1984 1.0L turbo charade
There is a problem with it and it usually happens in 3rd gear when the car gets into higher revs and when the engine is under load. The car starts to backfire and jump and then stall and i usually have to slow down or pull over so the car would run normally again.
I thought maybe the fuel was cutting out for some reason or something to do with ignition timing. Anyone know how i can check?
I know the Daihatsu Move isn't included in the website, but I've got a problem with mine, any advice would be gratefully received!
A few weeks ago it started making a grinding noise from the front pasenger wheel, it didn't do when coasting only when you had your foot on the accelerator. Took it to a garage who said the wheel hub was loose (Don't know the first thing about mechanics...) anyway they tightened it up and said if it worked loose again I'd need a new hub, but they were very expensive.
Can anybody tell me where to find the eletronics for the light reminder? I mean the beep that tells you that you're lights still on.
I've got a charade from 1993 the old model. It doesnt work, but a time ago i build in my radio, and for a moment i heard a beep....so it can still work i hope
I've got an s reg Grand Move 1.5 automatic. I love it to bits, it does everything I want it to.
I've noticed that at 2800rpm to 3300rpm I can hear a whistling sound, it only starts and stops at this rev band. It may have been there all along (I've had the car for 6 months) but only just noticed it because of driving with the window open now that it is summer. It sounds very much like air being sucked through a restiction. Should it be like that? I would appreciate any comments.
