Hijet window van sometimes just about starts had problem for a few years had new battery and when it happened again took it back to garage who tested battery and said it was fine Van used for lots of short journeys can be ok for weeks just recently after long drive stopped then tried to start and engine just managed to start then next day started first time Just had fullservice engine fine 993cc engine year 1998 I`ve had it from new Could this be a coil problem.Goes in for brake pipe next week garage suggested problem might be starter motor. I`m doubtful Any suggestions would be welcome.
Please please help!!!! It looks as though my ignition barrel has had it. I've managed to remove the barrel and steering lock away from the steering column and I have found that I am able to turn the ignition with a screwdriver. If Ileave the key in the barrel manualy turn ignition my car won't start! I have a fourtrak F78 1998. I also live in Spain so getting parts is a nightmare. Any suggestions please
I'm new to this forum. Wondering if anyone can help me with my Sirion which has started to Pink as I accelerate from rest. It pinks in each gear until the revs increase. It does not do it when cold. I have recently replaced the air filter and spark plugs with no effect on the pinking.
My Girl friend has a 1997 1.3 non turbo Charade and we're having problems with the starter motor, I've had a look at it and it looks like a bit of a nightmare to get it out of the car, before I get my spanners out does anyone know if there is an easy way to remove it other than having to remove the inlet manifold first??
the manifold on my 1998 avanzato TR-xx R4 (JB-JL engine) has recently developed a crack. Im a bit unsure as to what to do about it now. Is it worth trying to get it welded by a specialist or is it prone to re-cracking?
The other option I have is to get another one fabricated by a company who makes them. Does anyone have any experience of this for any vehicle and is it expensive?
