Sounds bad..........but hasn't used a drop of oil nor does it, as far as i know, smoke. Anyone else ever looked in their pipes? Car's only done 23k so hopefully the turbo isn't dying yet
I would like to have a rant. As an owner of an older Daihatsu [1998 Sirion], I needed to replace my valve seals and so, being an engineer decided to do the job myself and to lift the cylinder head rather than doing the job in situ so I could regrind the valves and all the other good stuff.

Hi all, I've just bought an '02 Sirion 4Trak, I would appreciate some advice. I was looking for a nippy town car with 4 wheel drive and I saw this; yeah, why not, I'll try anything once! Just over a 100hp and Yaris reliability, just the thing. I hope it's good in the snow!

I have spent the last hour trawling through various posts regarding the YRV Turbo and I see many of you mention that they make all sorts of noises.
* I have noticed that from cold, the engine is a little rattly, perfect once warmed up.
Both my previous and my current YRV have got a peeling effect on the headlamp's plastic. I thought that on my previous car maybe there were some nasty headlamp converters stuck on them at some point and they had spoilt the finish, but obviously not. Any one else got this on there's?
My driver side door lock doesn't stay upright when unlocked and so it will always lock itself.
Last year i pass my MOT despite this but this year i went to a new garage and they say they refuse to do a MOT untill i get this fixed.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Currently i need a new part for it which is in back order.
