C'mon guys, lift that oil filler cap off on idle and let me know if yours blows any gas. Dave Dixon told me his does not, not that i dont believe him, i do, but does yours or do any of you know why mine does????

Any one else come across 'pinking' type noise on the YRV when it is started from cold?
The noise only starts when you drive the car from cold and is most noticeable below 2000 rpm - noise disappears when engine is warm. The dealer hasn't cured the problem because they always get the car warm! As its a 250 mile round trip to dealer its a hassle to leave the car overnight. The noise doesn't affect the performance.

have had problems with the battery holding a charge for more than 3 to 4 days. Of course as under warranty it has been back to the dealer who immediately fitted a new battery and said all electrics were ok. However this has not cured the problem and the battery still runs flat after a couple of days of non use! It will be going back to the dealers again but has anyone else had the same problem or can
Some numpty has reversed into my copen cracking the radiator grille in several places. Does anybody know of a reliable daihatsu parts dealer who does not practice the art of "daylight robbery".
Hi to all Dai owners. I have a YRV turbo. When you take the oil filler cap off on idle, there is gas blowing. Is this normal for one of these. I know nothing about these engines but blow by usualy means worn rings etc but surely not at under 20K???? Anyone knows anything please let me know.Thanks

Some lovely neighbour of mine has scratched my Charade's (2004) metallic paint with his (or her?) key - all along three doors there is now a bright metal line.
I asked my garage what to do best and all they were willing to say is that it can'tbe polished out and that they will post me an estimate for respraying the doors. I can tell that will be expensive without having received the estimate yet. I am comprehensively insured (Norwich Union) but fear loosing that little bit of no-claims bonus that I do have.
